About ELYRA

What We Provide

ELYRA provides access to shared electric scooters. We do not provide medical, emergency, or transportation carrier services. You choose to ride voluntarily and you are responsible for riding safely and legally.

Terms Updates

We may update these Terms. If you keep using ELYRA after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
SECTION 02

Who Can Ride (Eligibility)

Requirements

You may use ELYRA only if you are 18 or older (or the legal age required in your area), you can legally enter a contract, you can safely operate a scooter, and you are not prohibited from using the Services.

Special Deployments

Some deployments (e.g., universities or city programs) may require additional eligibility checks such as student verification.

Your Account

Account Responsibility

To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for all rides and charges made through your account.
SECTION 04

Pricing & Payments

Standard Pricing

Unless different pricing is shown in the app for a specific area or promotion: Unlock fee: 2 MAD + Usage fee: 1 MAD per minute. Taxes or government fees may apply.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We may place a temporary authorization hold before a ride.

Ride End

Charges continue until the app confirms the ride is ended. If the network is slow, ride end confirmation can be delayed. You are responsible for ensuring the ride ends properly.

Charge Questions

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact support and include the ride date/time and location.
SECTION 05

Safety Rules (Mandatory)

Helmet (Required)

Wearing a helmet is mandatory while using ELYRA scooters.

Speed Limit

The scooter’s maximum assisted speed is 25 km/h (and may be lower in slow zones).

Basic Rules

One rider per scooter (no passengers). No riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or anything that impairs you. No racing, stunts, off-road use, or riding through deep water. Do not use your phone while riding. Follow traffic rules, road signs, and local regulations. Ride only where scooters are allowed.

Pre-Ride Check

Before riding, check brakes, tires, handlebar, visible damage, and battery level. If the scooter looks unsafe, do not ride — report it in the app.

Parking

End the ride only in allowed areas. Park upright and do not block sidewalks, ramps, doors, driveways, or emergency access.

Geofencing & Service Controls

Automated Controls

ELYRA may use technology to restrict riding in no-ride zones, reduce speed in slow zones, require parking in specific zones, and end rides automatically in certain conditions. These controls are part of ELYRA’s safety and operations.

Weight Limit

Maximum Rider Weight

For safety and performance, the maximum rider weight is 100 kg.
SECTION 08

Damage, Loss & Theft

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the scooter while it is in your control. If the scooter is damaged, lost, or stolen during your ride (including leaving it unlocked), you may be charged for repair costs, replacement cost, retrieval/towing/impound fees, and cleaning fees.

Fee Assessment

Fees are applied based on inspection, evidence, and operational records.

Accidents & Incidents

What to Do

If you are involved in an accident or incident: stop safely and seek help if needed, report it to ELYRA as soon as possible through the app or support, and follow local legal requirements (including reporting to authorities when required).

Risk Acknowledgment

Inherent Risks

Riding an electric scooter involves real risks, including falls, collisions, road hazards, weather, and vehicle malfunction. By using ELYRA, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to ride carefully and responsibly.

Disclaimers

As Is / As Available

The Services and scooters are provided "as is" and "as available." We cannot guarantee that the app, scooters, or network will always work perfectly or be available at all times.
SECTION 12

Limitation of Liability

Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ELYRA is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (such as lost profits or lost data). ELYRA’s total liability related to a ride will not exceed the amount you paid for that ride, unless the law requires otherwise.

Protected Rights

Some legal rights cannot be limited in certain cases; those rights remain.

Privacy

Your Data

Your personal data is handled under the ELYRA Privacy Policy. We follow Morocco’s data protection framework (Law 09-08 and CNDP guidance).
SECTION 14

Intellectual Property

Ownership

ELYRA owns the Services, branding, app, and related materials. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse them without permission.
SECTION 15

Suspension & Termination

When We May Act

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break safety rules, misuse scooters, commit fraud, damage vehicles, break the law, or create risk for others.

Your Choice

You may stop using ELYRA at any time.
SECTION 16

Governing Law & Courts

Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Rabat, Morocco, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
