Founded in Rabat
Elyra started on the UIR campus, built by the people who ride it. We believe getting across a campus or a neighbourhood should be simple, affordable, and quiet - so we build the hardware in Casablanca, write the software in Rabat, and run the fleet ourselves.
Built with cities, not against them
Our scooters are purpose-built for urban Morocco - durable, geofenced, and designed to last. We work with campuses, transport operators, and local authorities so shared rides slot into the existing transit picture. Every ride is a small step toward cleaner air, less traffic, and livelier streets.
Why now
The 1 km gapThe 1 km gap
Rabat is walkable for most things. But not the last mile from the tram to the campus, or from the medina to the station. Buses are crowded. Cabs cost too much for daily use. Bikes work, but parking is a problem. There's a gap. We fill it.
Why scooters specifically
Lighter than bikes, faster than walking, cheaper to operate than cars. Right-sized for a 0.5 to 4 km trip - which is most trips, in most cities.
